The LAITS has been approved by GMU to upgrade to the Center for Spatial
Information Science and System (CSISS). The center will be in operation
on Jan. 1, 2006.
The LAITS extended their Apple G5 XServer and RAID system to 6 dual
2.0GHz processor, 14GB momory and total 22.52TB storage. The system
is located in NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) and connected
to Internet II.

Data and Product Download is opened to the public. It provides Grid-enabled
retrieval and downloading of various remote sensing data such as Landsat
data, MODIS data, ASTER data, etc. Grid software -- Globus Toolkits
3.2.1 is used here.

OGC Catalog Service for Web (CS/W) is ready. It makes Catalog Service
for Web (CS/W) Grid-enabled and works as a Grid Service for the registry
and discovery of geospatial data and services in Grid environments.
